Truckin’ To Levey’sWhen you know there’s a glass ceiling overhead, most strive to break through it. Don Levey simply utilizes it to shoot pictures with a differing point of view. He chose to look from under the glass because he doesn’t see it as a limitation, but as a creative vehicle. Don always tries to accomplish at least two or three impossible things each day, and that’s what this month’s “Behind the Camera” portrays. By combining more than a dozen individual images, he’s created a superb representation of how you could see through concrete if it were clear. The models were walking on a sheet of Plexi-glass and the additional topside elements were gathered from many subsequent days of shooting. Don went out in the later afternoon hours to capture the clouds, trees and buildings, which delivered some wonderful streaks of light. When Don’s aerial library was completed, he scheduled the people shooting in the studio. The glass ceiling (or floor) creates a terrific vantage point to view this compelling design piece that we may never had seen or thought of. So truck on over to Don Levey’s to see how we can help your concrete ideas suddenly become clear. |
