Pretty Rose Is A Fiery Redhead

I wanted to photograph a lady who could pull off wearing a rose, oh let's say, a little differently. Our needs were for pretty things only & a rose, creative make-up, multiple pretty lights and a lady who had a beautifully shaved smooth, baldpate.

Further needs were a small red towel and a couple of rather large rose petals. Kamaria, our talent held the towel in front of her tube top with it folded and shaped so it would be in position to be replaced by the rose petals. The red color worked great for the slight warm reflection on her fingers when the petals were sized and put in place.

The main rose and petals were shot a day after Kamaria. Our lighting was kept nearly identical for the product shooting, altering it only slightly with silver and black cards. By experimenting with the cut roses in different solutions of warm water, floral powder and aspirin, the roses had assorted degrees of openness from which to pick.

Big thanks to Marisela, who styled the make-up, our talent, Kamaria and Sarah from Lily's Talent.
